Our friends over in RockSoc have invited you all to their Alt Ball next week! It's the day before the bar crawl and involves lots of glitter and tons of fun!
University of Birmingham Rock Society Presents The Alternative Ball! For those of you who are new or haven't experienced the Alt Ball before, this is the BIGGEST and BEST event of the year. The Alt Ball is run as an alternative to the University's Winter Ball, meaning you get to dress up in your fanciest attire and have a big party BUT with the alternative music you actually enjoy! This year's theme is GLITTER, so get out your most shimmery dress or your sparkliest tie. As the holidays are coming, what better way to celebrate than with a great big party with great people, cool games and awesome music?! This event is run by Rock Society, but it is not just for our own members! The invite is open to all the alternative societies and EVERYONE is welcome so please feel free to invite your friends! Dress code: Formal (Generally suits and nice dresses but please wear whatever smart outfit you feel comfortable in!) Last year's event was such a success that we are returning to the Asylum 2, the same space used by UPRAWR, Pop Punk Days, and many many bands! Please note: exact times TBC shortly! More details coming soon! Over 18s only. Please be aware, you will be required to present ID on entry. ... See more
