Star Spirit

The darkness called and held my heart
More divine than a work of art
The infinite depths pulled my soul
Completed the ring, made the whole
The chill air caressed my body and mind
Cold and inner warmth combined
The night curtain drifted to the ground
The star spirit arose without a sound
True beauty beyond compare
She climbed the crystal stair
Rising to the sky in infinite grace
Heavens light born from her face
Eyes of sapphire star glow
Dancing in the cosmos tableau
She called and I was taken
All other loves forsaken
Soon the night began to wane
A heart cleaved in twain
But as she was lost on the morning mist
I knew I was forever star kissed.
